Fahrenheit 9/11

I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 last night.

Only Michael Moore could have made that movie. It required a big-name, skilful documentary film maker with a political view to express. Only Moore could do it.

But I wish that it had been done by anyone but Moore. He's been pilloried by the right to the point that anything he says is gobbled up by one half of the populace and ignored by the other half. Sadly the half doing the gobbling really don't need convincing. And what if conservatives go see it out of morbid curiosity and come away with some questions? The Republican party need only say, "Well, it's Michael Moore. What do you expect?" and the party faithful will breathe a sigh of relief and go back to blind trust.

I guess it will arm lefties for the inevitable arguments in the months ahead. Some very serious questions come out of that movie, not the least being who profited from the invasion of Iraq? Anyone who raises their hand to answer, "The American people because we're safer, and the Iraqi people because they love American democracy!" needs to go see the movie.
