The Calm Before the Worm

I am experiencing a great sense of peace. No papers to do, no exams to take, no reading to do...aside from the readings for church tomorrow, which are always a good thing.

I wish my sweetie could be having as relaxing a time, but she's had a long weekend of work so far and it's not over yet. People fainting in stairwells, patrons hollering about silly things, ushers whining about this and that...and Bill Cosby needs six cans of Coke in his dressing room. And six towels. Not that Amy had to provide those, but it's interesting to know, eh? He doesn't have that twitchy of a routine...why six cans of Coke? And what does he do with six towels?

But the good news is that tomorrow night, as a birthday gift from my love, we'll be seeing The Arrogant Worms, who'll be playing at Hugh's Room, just up the street. The Worms are a Canadian folk band that sings such hits as Carrot Juice is Murder and The Last Saskatchewan Pirate...this is quality stuff and very, very silly. Just what I need after the term is done.
