The 16th was Amy's birthday, and her friends gave her a DVD...Little Britain. So, so funny. It's sketch comedy, following a handful of characters through a season. There's the unconvincing transvestite ("I'm a laaaaaaaady!"), a sullen, verbal-vomiting schoolgirl, a crazy Scotsman, young Welshman Dayfid ("I'eem the ooonly gey in this villuge!"), a randomly cruel teacher, a fuddling old actor...and my favourite, a fellow in a wheelchair and his devoted friend who takes loving care of him. Imagine Saturday Night Live (years ago, when it was funny) combined with Monty Python. |
