Please note the new "Comments" link at the end of every entry. The Guestbook feature is just not doing it...nine times out of ten a reader clicks the link and gets nothing, or tries to post a message and it doesn't work. Phooey! So I've switched to the infinitely more reliable Haloscan. The Guestbook link will soon be gone.

Fun news day...

Death by Chocolate?
KENOSHA, WI - Donovan Garcia, an employee of a company that supplies chocolate ingredients, became trapped in a vat of chocolate while trying to unclog the machinery. "It was in my hair, in my ears, my mouth, everywhere," said Garcia. Some guys have all the luck. "It was pretty thick. It was virtually like quicksand," said police Capt. Randy Berner. Rescue workers were unable to free Garcia until the chocolate was thinned with cocoa butter.

Mmmmmm...

It isn't the size that counts...
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - Dr. Paul Manger, of Johannesburg's University of the Witwatersrand, claims that dolphins are not all that intelligent, despite having large brains. "Dolphins can do some things, but they have to be trained to do them," says Dr. Manger. "That's more of a reflection of low-intelligence."

Seems logical...all dolphins do is swim around in the ocean, playing and eating and mating. Intelligent humans, on the other hand, have figured out how to work at jobs, pay taxes, wage war and televise inane entertainment. Hah. Take that, stupid dolphins.

In personal news...there is none. I'm sleeping too much, eating too much, and generally taking things way too easy. You might say I've gone dolphin, or that I'm stuck in the gooey chocolate of laziness. I have been pecking away at some essays, due this fall, but not seriously.

I need the cocoa butter of motivation.
