Alleluia! Christ is Risen!
The Lord is Risen Indeed! Alleluia!

Happy Easter to all. It's a beautiful thing, to see the earth waking up from winter as we celebrate Our Lord's rising. Death and rebirth are both part of God's plan, but it's a lot easier to be in resurrection mode than that of crucifixion.

This Easter is one experienced, in the words of Shakespeare, with an auspicious and a dropping eye...in equal scale weighing delight and dole. A few hours before churches in this part of the world began celebrating the resurrection of Christ, a dear friend of mine lost her grandmother. It wasn't a surprise, but the loss is still keenly felt.

I ask those of you who pray to pray for the soul of Josephine, and for her family in their mourning.

Depart, O Christian soul, out of this world;
In the Name of God the Father Almighty who created you;
In the Name of Jesus Christ who redeemed you;
In the Name of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies you.
May your rest be this day in peace,
���and your dwelling place in the Paradise of God.
