Today was my first full day in the office. It started with Matins and Mass...I officiated the one and served at altar for the other. It's a good way to start a day. Everything I did after that was done in light of having just spent an hour in prayer. Funny how everyday tasks take on meaning when you do them in context. And when the day was done, I went back into the church and said Evening Prayer...beginning and ending the workday in church. I could get used to that. |
