There was a story on the news about soaring gas prices. A reporter was interviewing people at the pump. This answer pretty much sums it up for me... "It's getting ridiculous. You almost just have to start taking public transit." Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous when you have to get on a subway or streetcar or bus. It's outrageous when you have to get out of your single-occupant car and get around in the city in a more financially prudent, less environmentally destructive manner. Wow. What a hardship. Sigh. Meanwhile a thick, brown haze hangs over Toronto... |
