I had a lovely walk in High Park...much needed, as always. I didn't sleep well last night. I kept waking up all nervous, as if I was desperately late for something I was supposed to do. Jangled nerves are much soothed by a walk in the park. Shortly after arriving I saw a Great Egret and a few Black-crowned Night-Herons perched close together in a pine tree. It's odd to see an Egret, with its long legs, up on a branch. It seems so gangly out of the water. Pictures posted on my bird page. There are also some "unknown" birds...I actually have an idea what they are but I'm not entirely certain. I also took some more pictures of the general life of the park...my favourite are the chipmunks. Brazen little devils, they are. |
